Diligenta Business Analyst role to Unisys’s Business Change team in Liverpool. Initially to a large migration from an old legacy system to the company’s strategic policy administration system. We joined the project to kick start phase 2 of the migration programme, delivering a functional decomposition of the Pension and Investment products on the legacy system. Due to the over-running of phase 1 of the project we moved to the phase 1 project after completing the functional decomposition to help ensure the delivery of the first phase. We were then heavily involved in the analysis and specification of the business requirements for the policy administration system change for phase 2. The second phase was ultimately cancelled on the request of UISL’s client (the Phoenix Group). We then moved to being one of a two man team responsible for the analysis and documentation of the business requirements for a Phoenix Group project removing guaranteed annuity rates from a range of pension products. This was an important project for Phoenix, and the delivery of the software had to coincide with a High Court ruling allowing the change to the product terms and conditions to remove these guaranteed rates. This was achieved, and the software was tested and delivered exactly on time. This role covered the full development lifecycle, from process modelling and requirements gathering, production of requirement and specification documentation, working closely with Actuarial and IT development teams to support the development process, the creation of a full test suite, and close liaison with the training team to ensure the training was accurate and covered the full nuances of the new system.
