Business / Systems Analyst role to British Car Parks, now QPark, in Crawley.

The project was the development of a new car park booking and management application. This was an extensive project involving a major rewrite of their car parking booking engine, pricing engine and website, as well as the introduction of a brand new management interface.

The entire project used the then most current development technologies, SQL Server 2005, BizTalk 2006, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and Visual Studio 2005.

We were responsible for the analysis and development of an extensive suite of migration processing.

This processing migrated customer, client, booking and financial data from the legacy. This suite was written as a series of SSIS ETL packages that extracted the legacy data into a staging database, transformed this data into the new data structures, and then loaded the data into the new database.

This required significant analysis of the legacy data, how it was used, how the new application required the data to be created, and then mapping the transformations required.
